Why there's no banner

Cookie banners exist to ask permission for tracking. There's nothing here to ask about: no cookies, no analytics, no advertising. The fonts and pictures on this page come from this same site, and the one outside request any page makes is the anonymous download counter described below - a number, not a person.

The download counter

The download buttons keep a shared count of how many times they've been pressed - the same total for everyone, not one per device. It's held by Abacus, a small open-source counter service (source code). Your browser only ever tells it "add one to the total": no cookie, no account, no identifier, no IP-linked profile - it keeps the running number and nothing else. If your browser or an extension blocks it, the count simply doesn't appear.

What the app stores

The Cubeon launcher keeps your settings, your name and your skins in a folder on your computer. Those are ordinary files rather than cookies, and they stay on your machine unless you upload a skin so that other players can see it.

If we ever add something

If a future feature needs to store something on your device - simple anonymous counts, say - we'll ask first. A clear yes and an equally easy no, nothing switched on until you choose, nothing ticked in advance. The privacy page will say what and why.

What Cubeon does and doesn't keep is set out on the privacy page.
